There are two types of drying equipment for SMC insulation board raw materials: hot air dryers and dehumidification dryers.


The principle of the hot air dryer is to use hot air to blow away the moisture in the raw material of the SMC insulation board; the temperature range is 80-1OOc, the drying time is mostly 40-60min; hot air dryer is an open system that can only remove the moisture on the surface of the raw material.


The principle of the dehumidifying dryer is to replace the moisture in the hot air through a molecular sieve and then blow away the moisture in the raw material of SMC insulation board with drying air; using this method can reduce the moisture in the raw material to less than 0.1%, the drying temperature is generally 80-100oc, drying time is typically 2-3h, stable performance of the dryer can reduce the dew point of the drying air to less than -30 ℃; if the raw material in the dew point of the dryer is less than 0.1%, the drying temperature is generally 80-100oc, the drying time is typically 2-3h. Moisture content greater than 0.08% requires pre-drying with a hot air dryer.
