BMC and SMC are used to make xenon lamp HID luminaires because they can withstand the high temperatures that luminaires can withstand. Traditional polished metal components require a separately fabricated wiring board, while thermoset materials simplify the process for BMC molding manufacturer to mold the terminal block directly into the fixture without the need for secondary operations. Due to the zero shrinkage and the very flat surface, both molding compounds can be molded into a net shape. Mainly used outdoors, anti-UV, anti-aging, high strength.
