1. What is the role of mold heating and mold temperature machine in SMC moulding?


The preheating of SMC mold heating temperature machine can improve the material temperature when entering the mold, and shorten the time and forming cycle to achieve the best fluidity of the material. The preheating of mold temperature machine can further reduce the content of moisture and volatile matter, and reduce the forming pressure. For the complex temperature control conditions required for phased heating, SMC mold heating and mold temperature function can automatically control the heating speed and cooling speed through PLC, so as to accurately control the temperature and quickly reach the set temperature. The set value and actual value are displayed separately to facilitate user adjustment and setting. It is suitable for various precision temperature control places.


2. How to heat the mold for FRP SMC compression molding


The key points of SMC mold design and manufacturing cover the common problems of SMC mold products, such as classification, machining accuracy, demoulding, cutting edge, fillet, heating mode, mold material, surface treatment and so on. The distribution requirements of SMC mold heating holes are that the heating holes should not be too close to the cavity or too far away, preferably 40 ~ 80mm. The distribution of heating holes shall be thin in the middle and dense at both ends. If the SMC mold adopts electric heating, the heating holes are electric heating tubes, and the number is preferably a multiple of 3 to facilitate electrical connection, and the electric heating tubes at both ends must be a certain distance away from the edge of the cavity. The distribution of heating holes shall follow the shape of the die.
