1. Analysis of the main properties of BMC materials


First, the material has good dimensional stability. It is understood that the linear expansion coefficient of BMC material is smaller than that of general thermoplastics, and because of this, the material itself has high dimensional stability and dimensional accuracy. Secondly, in practical application and processing, the temperature has little effect on the dimensional stability of this material, but the effect of humidity is more serious, and the BMC will expand after absorbing moisture. In addition, the linear expansion coefficient of BMC material is very close to that of steel and aluminum, so it can be compounded with it.


Not only that, but the material also performs well in terms of water and solvent resistance. In fact, BMC materials have good corrosion resistance to water, ethanol, aliphatic hydrocarbons, greases, oils, but not ketones, chlorohydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, acids and bases, etc. Moreover, the material has low water absorption, and the insulation performance is still good after soaking.


2. BMC material is used in the manufacture of tennis racket frame


Its manufacturing method is to mix thermosetting long fiber reinforced plastic and thermoplastic long fiber reinforced plastic to form fiber reinforced plastic. The process of making racket frame with this kind of plastic is to cover the core with prepreg material, fold and roll, then dry and cut, and then cover with thermoplastic long fiber reinforced plastic sheet or cylindrical material. Then put it into a metal mold for molding and heat it to above the melting point of the plastic, and set a time to inject high-pressure gas or inject a flux to provide internal pressure, so that the fiber cloth is formed in the mold, and then cooled to open the mold, the formed racket frame is removed from the mold.


The use of BMC material enables the use of thermoplastic long fiber reinforced plastic sheets in any position of the racket frame according to the needs, which can improve and maintain various characteristics of the racket frame. At the same time, due to the good flexibility of the matrix resin, the rigidity can be controlled to a small limit, and it can be arranged and used according to the required amount in the required position.
