SMC BMC Molding for Energy/Power Generation

Light weight, high strength
SMC products have a specific gravity of about 1.7-1.85 and a standard of impact strength of 55KJ/m2. Therefore, the weight can be effectively reduced when the strength is satisfied. Compared with the conventional materials (cold rolled sheet and aluminum alloy), the weight can be effectively reduced by 20%-30%.
High hardness and good rigidity
SMC products have a bending strength of 150 MPa or more. The tensile strength is above 90MPa, and the Barcol hardness is above 70HBa, so it does not deform after being subjected to strong impact, which can well protect the integrity of the inner battery and avoid the possibility of explosion after impact.
SMC material products have a thermal transition temperature greater than 250°. At -50° to 250°, after alternating heat and cold, the deformation is very small, so it is stable in its harsh environment.
The SMC composite battery box produced by our company is formed by high temperature and high pressure molding process once, and its shrinkage rate is about -0.5%, also called zero shrinkage material. After molding, the dimensional accuracy is high and the flatness is good. Easy to install and standard work with high standards.
Fire prevention high performance
SMC material products contain aluminum hydroxide, silicon dioxide and other materials. After testing, the oxygen index is more than 35%, and its fire resistance and safety performance are very high.
SMC material products, because fiber reinforced polyester materials have good resistance to acid, alkali, salt, organic solvents, seawater, etc., so the chemical resistance of SMC battery cases is unmatched by other materials.
