1. Application of BMC material in AC contactor


According to the functional characteristics, AC contactors can be basically divided into arc extinguishing system, contact system, magnetic system, base and shell frame in terms of structure. The main application of BMC material in AC contactors is the base and the frame part, which is because the mechanical strength of BMC material is greater than that of general thermoplastic engineering plastics. It can be used for a long time in humid, hot, cold and corrosive environments. According to the different performance requirements of the product, it can be made into BMC molding compounds with various properties by adjusting the formula by taking advantage of the advantages of composite materials. BMC material has the advantages of excellent electrical insulation, flame retardancy, arc resistance, leakage resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. Compared with phenolic bakelite molding compound, BMC can also be made into various brightly colored products as required. The heat resistance of BMC is better than that of general engineering plastics. The long-term heat resistance temperature is 150℃.


BMC has a low water absorption rate, and the insulation performance is still very good after 24 hours of water immersion, which can ensure the safety of use in hot and humid conditions. The post-shrinkage of BMC products is zero, the dimensions of the parts are stable, the BMC products are easy to form, and have strong designability, Easy to scale production. Therefore, compared with many thermosetting plastics and thermoplastic engineering plastics, BMC is more suitable for making the base and frame of AC contactors, and is gradually replacing the application of phenolic bakelite molding compounds in AC contactors.


2. Application of BMC material in motor


In the past, when the motor was produced, because the motor required various technical requirements such as heat resistance, heat dissipation, electrical insulation, and impact resistance, it had to use a number of processes such as metal shell protection and internal coil impregnation insulation. The production process was more complicated. Moreover, this kind of motor is heavy, noisy, and its insulation is not ideal. Now, special BMC materials with high thermal conductivity, good heat dissipation performance and insulation are used to plastic-encapsulate the motor stator, so there is no need for metal shell protection, and no need to impregnate the coil for insulation. In addition, the BMC has large damping and high power frequency, which avoids the resonance point of noise when the motor rotates, the motor has no noise, and the production cost is reduced by 30%. Therefore, it can be said that the application of BMC in motors provides a strong material guarantee for the production of ultra-static household appliances. BMC also has the functions of attenuating, eliminating micro-vibration and modulating vibration. Therefore, it can be used for electrically adjustable seat motors, wiper motors, window motors, etc. in automobiles.
